Norwood’s Annual Arbor Day Festival

Annual festival with an abundance of activities and events. Kicks off with a 5K, car show, and youth fishing.  Students will have artwork displayed and local singers on stage midday as well as vendors and food trucks throughout town.  Plenty of kid's activities including bouncy houses, axe throwing, rock climbing, and face painting.  The day will conclude with two great bands, The Entertainers and The Unknown Artist Band at the main stage, followed by fireworks.

Memorial motorcycle run and fundraiser for scholarships at West Stanly High School.  Run goes from West Stanly High to Cox's Harley Davidson in Asheboro and return for food and raffle.  Non-riders are welcome as well!  Normally over 100 bikers participate.  Come enjoy a wonderful day rain or shine!  No fee - just donation!

Airing quilts outside has a long tradition in America beginning in colonial times. Early European settlers would mark the beginning of spring by airing quilts outside following heavy use during the winter season.Local quilter Wanda Brooks will be on hand to authenticate and date your heirloom quilts and answer your quilting questions.
