Carolina Kayak Anglers (CKA)  will be holding a kayak bass fishing tournament at Lake Tillery on March 8, 2025! With both a regular 5 fish limit as well as a separate CKA Hourly Big Bass side event at the same time! The events have a $50 and $25 entry fee respectively. Club members will also be competing for points for the Angler of the Year and Rookie of the Year. CKA holds numerous regular season events that are open for anyone to enter and fish from a kayak, and this is the first of two stops in Stanly County this year. Friends of the Stanly County Senior Center will be hosting their annual Craft Show on Saturday, March 29th from 9am-1pm. They will have a Hot Dog Sale along with a Bake Sale. All proceeds go back to the Friends of the Senior Center who support programs, activities and services for the Stanly County Senior Services.

The Stanly County Chorale will present music from over 50 years of Tony award-winning Broadway musicals.

The Stanly County Concert Band will present a program of Disney music sure to please the whole family! All are invited to come dressed as your favorite Disney character.

Memorial motorcycle run and fundraiser for scholarships at West Stanly High School.  Run goes from West Stanly High to Cox's Harley Davidson in Asheboro and return for food and raffle.  Non-riders are welcome as well!  Normally over 100 bikers participate.  Come enjoy a wonderful day rain or shine!  No fee - just donation!
